The Quantocks are 12 miles in length and 4 miles wide, starting north of Taunton and ending up at the Bristol Channel. From the top of the Quantocks it is possible to see Exmoor the Blackdown Hills and Bridgwater Bay. There is much to enjoy from the beautiful heath lands to the quiet combes and valleys that lead down to pretty Somerset villages.
Holford combe just up from the village of Holford is an excellent location to enjoy a picknick and let the children play in the streams and surrounding woods. From Holford combe there is an excellent walk up through the valley to the top of the Quantocks. The picture to the right shows one of the paths leading down to Holford combe. Visit Quantock Online if you would like to find out more about the Quantocks and what they have to offer.
